YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Arrive at NJP/IXB, meet our representative, and drive to Phuentsholing (170 km / 5 hrs), the gateway town on the Bhutan-India border. Check into your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Overnight stay: Phuentsholing.

Post breakfast, complete immigration formalities and drive to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu (176 km / 6 hrs). En route, enjoy the changing landscapes.
Overnight stay: Thimphu.

Explore Thimphu’s iconic attractions:

  • Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma)

  • National Memorial Chorten

    In the afternoon:

  • Sangaygang Viewpoint

Drive to Punakha (77 km / 3 hrs) via Dochu-La Pass (3150 m) for stunning Himalayan views.

    Overnight stay: Punakha/Wangdue.

Option 1: Day trip to Gangtey Valley (78 km / 3 hrs one way), home of Black Necked Cranes. Visit Gangtey Gompa.
Option 2: Explore Punakha Valley:

  • Hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten

  • Visit Punakha Suspension Bridge and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery
    Overnight stay: Punakha/Wangdue.

Drive to Paro (140 km / 5 hrs). En route visit Royal Botanical Park at Lamperi. In Paro:

  • Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum)

  • Explore Rinpung Dzong, “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels”
    Overnight stay: Paro.

After breakfast, hike to the famed Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff. Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Monastery, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
Overnight stay: Paro.

Drive back to Phuentsholing (200 km / 7 hrs). Check-in and relax.
Overnight stay: Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, transfer to NJP/IXB (170 km / 5 hrs) for your onward journey with memories of a lifetime.
