YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer to the Indo-Bhutan border town of Phuentsholing (170 km / approx. 5 hrs). This lively town serves as the main entry point for Bhutanese road travelers. Check in and rest.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, complete immigration formalities and begin your uphill journey to Thimphu, Bhutan’s peaceful capital city (176 km / approx. 6 hrs). On arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the Bhutanese government and monastic body.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Start the day visiting Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), the National Memorial Chorten, and the Folk Heritage Museum, which offers insight into Bhutan’s rural traditions. Later, drive to Punakha/Wangdue (approx. 3 hrs) via the stunning Dochu-La Pass (10,170 ft), offering panoramic views of the Himalayas and 108 sacred stupas. On arrival, check in and relax.
Overnight stay in Punakha or Wangdue Phodrang.

After breakfast, explore the beautiful Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of two rivers and one of Bhutan’s most majestic structures. Descend to explore Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery that serves both religious and administrative functions.
