YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

On arrival at Paro Airport, meet and greet our representative. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Thimphu (65 km / approx. 2 hrs). Check in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around the local markets and main street of Thimphu. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, visit the Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), home to a gigantic seated Buddha statue overlooking the city. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, and then the Folk Heritage Museum. In the afternoon, visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve, and the beautiful Tashichho Dzong. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Today, after breakfast, explore more hidden gems of Thimphu. Visit Simtokha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s oldest fortresses. Discover traditional Bhutanese papermaking at the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory and the serene Drupthob Lhakhang. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the town. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Start early for a full-day excursion to Punakha/Wangdue (76 km one way / approx. 3 hrs). En route, stop at the stunning Dochu-La Pass (3,150m) for panoramic views. Visit the grand Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most picturesque fortress, situated at the confluence of two rivers. Then take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the famous Temple of Fertility. Return to Thimphu in the evening. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, transfer to Paro (65 km / approx. 2 hrs). On the way, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, a 13th-century temple built by the legendary bridge builder Thangthong Gyalpo. Cross a traditional iron chain bridge to reach the temple. In Paro, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), showcasing Bhutan’s rich history and heritage, followed by a tour of Rinpung Dzong. Overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey, filled with spiritual memories and breathtaking vistas of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
